Moved in and loving it!

So, my Dad pointed out that I sort of left you all hanging. For that, I apologize. But moving in, working and living all got in the way. And to be honest...it's just not "done enough" for an update, in my eyes. But here I am...post Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, and I'm back to making lists and starting my new budget. The fun never ends.

My biggest personal accomplishment is the kitchen. I still love the sink (although hand washing dishes is a different story). My next kitchen project is to send the sink to be electroplated and a new faucet installed. I've found a faucet that is the same as the original, which makes me happy. Also, thanks to my friend Sue and her husband, I have a PANTRY!
My next greatest pleasure is the main floor bath. Originally a robins egg blue, I decided one weekend that I just could NOT stand it. Here's my updated look and I couldn't be happier!
After all the angst of not having the full use of my "master suite", I broke down and bought a split box spring queen sized bed. I can't tell you how much it solidified my feeling of being home. And I really do feel like I'm home. This house has been so good to me. I hope I can do her justice. In the meantime, I'm enjoying my master everything! And the nap I referenced in a previous blog? Perfecto!
On the outside of the home, I got new gutters all around. And I got it on the loan!!!

Next items...some electrical work needs to be done. In the house, just a few outlets and a light fixture. Outside (in the spring) I hope to run electric to the garage and add a garage door/opener. And get it organized.

Then the yard work. Oh the yard work! I am so tired of this home looking like it's  abandoned. Removing bushes, shoring up beds. Yep. Soon!

And then...Windows. I'll have to take a refresher on glazing, but I think I can do this!

So the future is bright here at my little project home. In the short 3 months, it has brought me a lot of joy. And a feeling of ownership and...home. I am home.
